Most of us have been there…watching paranormal shows on tv and being engrossed by the excitement, at the edge of our seats watching if the host will get scratched, possessed, or seeing an apparition. But what you see on television and what actually happens are very often two very different things.
Paranormal shows are designed to keep you, the viewer, engaged. There is constant movement, immediate responses, and something happening almost every minute. It creates an expectation that every investigation should be intense, fast-paced, and filled with undeniable activity.
In reality, investigations are often much quieter. There are long, long periods of stillness, subtle changes in energy, and moments that can easily be missed if you are not paying attention. Not every location produces dramatic results- and that doesn’t make the experience any less real.
During my own tours, I’ve seen how different each person’s experience can be. One guest may feel something strongly, another may hear something subtle, another may not experience anything at all- and that is perfectly okay. The paranormal is not a one-size-fits-all.
The truth is, the paranormal isn’t always loud, or obvious. Sometimes it quiet, subtle, and deeply personal- and that is what makes it real.
If you are a budding paranormal investigator, or experienced and would like to join others to experience an investigation, follow me on Eventbrite: https://www.eventbrite.com/o/veil-walker-paranormal-115726275761 We are always adding new investigations, including the Shanley Hotel, or SK Pierce Mansion (look for that investigation during this summer).
